Description

The successful candidate will carry out modeling research on projects related to automotive/environmental catalysis. Responsibilities include kinetic and reactor modeling of heterogeneous catalytic systems, kinetic experimentation, automotive emissions system optimization, data analysis and reporting, and computer programming. In addition to performing research on assigned projects the candidate is expected to interact effectively with other scientists, application engineers, and business people within the corporation. Occasional customer interactions such as presentations will also be required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in chemical engineering or chemistry with 1-3 years industrial or post-doctoral experience in kinetic and/or reactor modeling of heterogeneous catalytic systems.
• Programming abilities and hands on experience with catalytic reactors is desired.
• Candidate must have good interpersonal and communication skills and work well in the team environment.
• Candidate must display initiative and have a strong drive for results, while always showing respect for safety and quality.
