The Chemistry Department at Pomona College invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry, beginning Fall 2025. The position has a teaching load of five courses per year and the successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry. Research facilities are available. A Ph.D. in chemistry by the start date is required.
Pomona College is the founding member of the Claremont Colleges (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, and Scripps), liberal arts colleges located 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. This position is not eligible for travel and moving expenses, nor visa sponsorship. You must show proof of authorization to work in the U.S. The salary range is $73,000 to $80,000 and is commensurate with experience.
