We are seeking a safety conscious professional like you to join our Catalyst and Adsorbents Evaluation group which is part of the Process Catalysis & Adsorbents Scale-Up North America R&D group in Beachwood, OH.
The primary mission of the Catalyst and Adsorbents Evaluation Group is the development and implementation of heterogeneous catalyst and adsorbents testing programs in support of R&D projects, catalyst quality assurance, manufacturing, catalyst improvement efforts, and new business development.
As a Senior Instrumentation/Control Systems Engineer, You Create Chemistry By...
- Overseeing reactor unit design, modifications, and related construction activities, troubleshooting of reactor units, and managing overall laboratory operations as it relates to reactor unit functionality.
- Providing instrumentation & controls engineering support for the lab including automation using SCADA software applications like iFix (preferred), Citect, and Ignition.
- Specifying, configuring, and troubleshooting programmable automation controllers (PAC) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Demonstrating your in-depth technical experience in process instrumentation and controls, including familiarity with pressure, temperature, level, flow, and process analyzer measurement technology.
- Directing the activities of 1 to 2 direct reports.
If you...
- Have a degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline with experience in laboratory operations or chemical processes.
- Have well-developed troubleshooting skills in instrumentation, for diagnosing I/O-related issues within PAC, PLC, and remote I/O systems.
- Have experience with small diameter tubing, compression fitting assembly, and system construction.
- Have familiarity with troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing computer hardware.
