
Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Sales team in quoting electrical portions of projects.
- Review customer specifications and incorporate them into electrical design using indicated electronic devices.
- Responsible for electrical and control system design, specification, testing, and customer demonstration (Factory Acceptance Testing).
- Use of AutoCAD Electrical for the development of Electrical Drawings and electrical Bill of Materials.
- Requisitioning of the Electrical Bill of Materials.
- PLC Programming of Allen Bradley systems.
- Generation of Sequence of Operations, Cause & Effect, and Control Logic Diagrams
- Panel designing, wiring, and checkout. Panel corrective wiring when required.
- Field service/start up, consisting of electrical/mechanical setup, checkout, commissioning, troubleshooting, equipment replacement and repair, training, etc.
- Phone based troubleshooting support for customers.
- Skid checkout, consisting of checking for electronic functionality and configuring the instruments on the skid.
- Loose instrument checkout and calibration checks.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills / Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of industrial process instrumentation and controls including pressure regulators, flow meters, dampers & flow control valves, safety shut off valves, transmitters, thermocouples, etc.
- Experience with Combustion Systems (burners, air heaters, oxidizers, boilers, etc).
- Ability to prioritize activities and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Safety focused with experience working in an industrial process plant environment.
- Confident and Curious problem solver who can think and deliver under pressure.
- Strong people skills and the ability to build long term relationships with customers and suppliers.

Work Environment:
- Office
- When traveling: Work in and around chemical and other industrial plants near heavy machinery and high temperature thermal oxidizers and heaters.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to meet the travel demands of the position with up to 3 weeks per some months of domestic and international travel (see Travel Requirements below).
- Must be able to work long hours in a hot environment; standing, walking, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to climb up to 8 flights of stairs on equipment platforms multiple times daily.
Travel Requirements:
- Applicant must have US passport and willingness to travel internationally.
- This position requires travel to PCC customer sites for design reviews, equipment commissioning, and start-ups. Typical travel is approximately 25% - with peaks and lulls.
- Travel duration for a typical start up is 7-10 days for small domestic projects and approximately 22 days for larger projects in China.
- During the next 18 months, 3-4 multi-week trips to China/India should be anticipated during a very high Project Commissioning period.
Preferred Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical/Mechatronic, or Chemical Engineering
- Associates or Engineering Technology degrees with relevant work experience will also be considered.
