- Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering
Description
The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Toledo invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor with a research emphasis on Applications of AI in Chemical Engineering. Candidates with additional interests in engineering education are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will: (1) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, (2) develop innovative curriculum offerings, including AI-driven applications in engineering, (3) establish an externally funded research program, (4) contribute to outreach initiatives, and (5) advance teaching excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field (completed by start date).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, application of AI in research, and scholarly productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
- Evidence of securing or contributing to externally funded research.
- Research experience in engineering education.
- Record of service and/or outreach.
- Experience mentoring students and collaborating with educational or community organizations.
