Job Purpose and Impact
The Dielectric Fluids Associate Scientist, will assist senior team members with technical solutions and support product offerings for current clients and prospective customers. The position will utilize experience in organic chemistry, and dielectric fluid application testing to help develop the company's solutions and improve profitability. In this role, you will assist to ensure new and existing products, chemistries, and technologies are well tested documented, and technically supported to provide competitive customer focused solutions for dielectric fluids and other related thermal management solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist more senior team members to establish customers' technical needs and requirements to maintain existing business and gain new ones.
- Assist with technology prospecting and anticipate technological developments led by more senior team members.
- Support technical and commercial efforts to understand and solve basic customer technical issues following established process and robust data reporting. Assist senior staff in creation of internal and external technical reports.
- Support category strategy, marketing initiatives, and insure product safety, quality and regulatory to develop and proof new products. Support preparation of datasheets that detail the organization's products and their applications.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Technical experience related to vegetable oil chemistry, synthetic esters, or dielectric fluids and applications.
- Proven experience in a chemical lab, well-versed in chemical lab work safety and best practices including complete and careful documentation.
- Proven experience in analytical and wet chemistry testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to support senior staff in writing internal reports, analyzing data, and presenting results to internal technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated working experience analyzing dielectric fluids with a working knowledge of the standard equipment used in these tests.
- Working experience in material compatibility testing, including all testing of new and exposed materials, materials preparation, and an understanding of the results and the significance to the application.
Position Information
Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
Location: Plymouth, MN
The expected salary for this position is $65,000 - $75,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
