Faculty Opportunity: Geneticist (with Biochemistry) – Ross University School of Medicine, Barbados
Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) is seeking a full-time faculty member in Genetics who can also contribute to Biochemistry instruction. We’re looking for an innovative, tech forward educator—ideally with experience teaching in a North American or UK medical school—who thrives in student centered, interactive learning environments.
What You’ll Do
Teach engaging lectures, workshops, and small group sessions
Develop learning materials and digital teaching resources
Use modern educational technology and mobile learning tools
Mentor students and collaborate with academic support teams
Contribute to curriculum design, assessments, and NBME style question writing
Participate in faculty committees and ongoing professional development

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent)
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Strong teaching ability with excellent English communication skills
- Flexible, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Barbados
Strongly Preferred
- Prior teaching experience in a North American or UK medical school
- Proven teaching experience in Genetics and/or Biochemistry
