Description
The interdisciplinary lab of Dr. Peixuan Guo at The Ohio State University seeks a recently graduated Ph.D in biophysics to work on RNA nanotechnology, RNA structure and function, TIRF imaging, optical tweezers (both are lab-build equipment by our team), RNA motility, RNA dynamics, RNA therapeutics, nucleic acid chemistry, cancer mRNA-vaccines, RNA delivery, molecular biology, biotechnology, RNA motility, RNA dynamics, biochemistry, protein/RNA structural computation and RNA Nanotechnology. We aim to train and create the next generation of scientific leaders and workforce to transform innovative research and RNA nanotechnology into applications and therapeutics. The researcher will apply modern technologies for the chemical modification of RNA nanoparticles or mRNA for in vivo imaging and to deliver RNA in vivo for disease treatment and cancer prevention, in combination with RNA and DNA packaging mechanisms, as well as exosome delivery technology.
Please come for an interview at the BPS 2026 on Feb 23, when Peixuan Guo will chair and speak for a symposium on RNA Dynamics and Phase Transition.
Requirements
PhD in Biophysics, chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, bio-computation, and biomedical engineering. Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational capacity, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Previous experience in RNA, biophysics, or biomedical engineering is preferred.
