Senior Director/VP – Stable Isotope Tracing / IRMS

A highly regarded, specialist bioanalytical CRO is seeking a senior scientific and commercial leader to head its biomarker and stable-isotope programs. This is a visible, client-facing leadership role combining business development, scientific strategy and end-to-end project delivery in pre-clinical and clinical biomarker studies. You will take ownership of the biomarker segment and act as a senior technical authority for clients across biotech, pharma and academia, while helping shape the future scientific capabilities of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple client-driven research programs at the forefront of metabolic biochemistry and biomarker development
- Support the full commercial pipeline – from early scientific discussions through proposals and study design
- Act as a senior scientific interface for clients across pharma, biotech and academia
- Lead internal R&D initiatives to build new biomarker and assay capabilities
Candidate Qualifications
- PhD in biochemistry or a closely related discipline
- Broad, hands-on expertise in nutritional metabolism and stable isotope tracing
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior project leadership role (Associate Director, Director or VP level)
- Strong background in biomarker development and metabolic research, ideally including de novo lipogenesis (DNL) and/or protein turnover studies
- Proven ability to build and manage external collaborations, with an entrepreneurial and client-focused mindset
- Experience with IRMS is essential
Salary:
- Total compensation in the mid-high $200K range
