Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry at Skidmore College invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Organic Chemistry for the academic year beginning September 2026. This is a two-year appointment with responsibilities in teaching organic chemistry and introductory chemistry.
Responsibilities:
Teach 5 courses or 18 contact hours per academic year in the organic or introductory chemistry sequence
Contribute to departmental initiatives, etc.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or a related field
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level
Prior teaching experience is desirable
Salary: $68,989

All bargaining unit members shall be covered by a collective bargaining agreement between Skidmore College and Services Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 200 United.
