Case Western Reserve University, Department of Biochemistry is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill a permanent, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Instructor. This is a non-tenure-track position, whose duties will be spent on teaching, advising, and supporting the education mission of the Department.
Responsibilities and Duties: Advise undergraduate students in course selection for their programs of study, research opportunities, and career planning. Work closely with faculty colleagues to provide teaching support, including student assessment, and maintain office hours for advising and aiding students. Additional duties include teaching and management of laboratory courses for undergraduate and masters. students as well as for summer research programs.

The annual starting base salary range for this position is from $65,000 to $80,000. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, biology, or related field. Previous experience in teaching is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
