The Temporary Research Assistant in the Department of Microbiology will support the research mission of the Lawrenz lab through contributing to immunology projects in the lab. This will include performing various molecular biology, cell culture, and immunological assays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments.
Using sterile techniques.
Cultivation of bacteria.
Cultivation of cell culture.
Record keeping: Support scientific investigations by documenting results of experiments; collect, analyze, and summarize data in notebooks and in electronic files for presentations; assist in the preparation of laboratory reports and presentations.
Conduct searches in medical literature and databases to summarize information appropriately for a particular study.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with basic molecular biology techniques.
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
