The Department of Chemistry at Rice University in Houston, Texas seeks applicants for a full- time (9-month) Lecturer position in Chemistry. This non-tenure track position has a start date of July 1, 2026.
Duties will primarily include supporting the undergraduate organic chemistry program by leading discussion sections and presenting lectures. There will also be an opportunity to teach organic chemistry in summer school for additional compensation. Other teaching assignments are possible, depending on departmental needs and candidate qualifications, and service and committee work are also expected.
This position requires a doctoral degree in chemistry or a closely related field (preferably with organic expertise) and previous teaching experience.
