Job Description
Finnegan’s Boston office is seeking Technical Specialists with a background in biology to draft and prosecute patent applications.
A science background in vaccines, mRNA technology, biochemistry, peptide chemistry, gene therapy, immunology, or antibodies is required. Advanced degrees are strongly preferred.
Patent prosecution experience is preferred.
Responsibilities of Technical Specialists include:
- Preparing patent applications for filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office
- Evaluating the underlying technology of inventions
- Opinion writing
- Client counseling
- Litigation support
- Providing technical assistance on projects
