The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona) invites applications for one (1) tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in either cosmetic or formulations chemistry from any subdiscipline and/or organic chemistry starting Fall 2027. All research areas are welcome. Successful candidates shall possess a Ph.D. in Chemistry or closely related field by the start date of the appointment. Postdoctoral and/or organic chemistry teaching experiences are preferred. Applicants should demonstrate the potential for (a) teaching excellence in chemistry lectures and laboratories, (b) meaningful contributions to curriculum development, (c) development of an exciting research program with undergraduate and graduate (Masters-level) students, and (d) experience or familiarity with techniques that promote student engagement and success. The application requires a Teaching Statement that demonstrates an applicant’s commitment through their teaching, scholarship, or service.
