Description

The Chemistry Department at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL is seeking
candidates for a full-time Lecturer appointment starting August 2027. The successful
applicant will be expected to provide exceptional instruction at the undergraduate level,
work with current staff to support laboratory coordination, and perform other duties as
required. Teaching assignments will be in the areas of general and analytical chemistry
and the candidate’s specialization area.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: MS in Chemistry, or related field, from an accredited institution
with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and service. The appointee
engages in teaching and service and other related activities.

Preferred Qualifications: The candidate must have an MS in Chemistry, or related field,
with 5 years relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in Chemistry, or related field from an
accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and
service. The position requires exceptional instruction at the undergraduate level.
Teaching assignments will be in the areas of Analytical Chemistry and General
Chemistry.
