Organic / Process Chemist (Part-Time / Contract)
BioTech Ventures LLC | Scottsdale, AZ (On-site)
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on organic / process chemist.
THE ROLE
• Execute multi-step organic synthesis and purification following detailed procedures
• Perform reaction set-up, work-up, rotary evaporation, chromatography, and basic analytical checks
• Maintain clear batch records and documentation
• Support process verification and early scale-up under scientific guidance
• Work primarily on-site at our Scottsdale location
SCHEDULE
• Part-time, primarily weekends
• Expanded hours during an intensive on-site period in mid-August
• Typical ongoing schedule: 16–24 hours/week
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong hands-on experience in organic synthesis or process chemistry (MS preferred, experienced BS considered)
• Comfortable with standard lab techniques: inert atmosphere reactions, extractions, rotary evaporation, column chromatography, TLC, and basic HPLC interpretation
• Ability to follow detailed procedures accurately and document thoroughly
• Reliable, process-oriented, and comfortable working independently once trained
• Local to the Phoenix / Scottsdale / East Valley area (this is an on-site role)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
