Description
Development of analytical platforms aimed at obtaining methods of high sensitivity, based on substrates with metallic nanoparticles, modifieds or not, for signal intensification in spectroscopy (LIBS and/or Raman), including possible applications in electrochemical sensors. Nanoparticles can be synthesized by chemical reduction, electrochemistry reduction and/or photothermal reduction, also employing the ring-oven technique (which will be also used for pre-concentration purposes). Analytical platforms will be applied in environmental and food analysis, among other applications.
Requirements
Mandatory: PhD in Sciences (areas: Analytical Chemistry or Materials Science), obtained less than 7 years ago. Experience in writing, revision and submission of scientific papers. Experience in the development of chemical sensors, including preparation of the substrates for the respective sensors. Skill with analytical techniques based on spectroscopy (preferably) and/or electrochemistry.
Desirable: Interest in working with different detection techniques, including LIBS, SERS, luminescence and electrochemistry, providing support to the research activities of the Group for Instrumentation and Automation in Analytical Chemistry and Laboratory of Portable Chemical Sensors, at Chemistry Institute of the University of Campinas.
How to apply: Submit graduate academic transcript, Curriculum Vitae and letter explaining the motivation for the position and adequacy for requirements to Prof. Ivo M. Raimundo Jr. by 15/05/2026.
